I, too, was an Indymac depositor who lost money because of "lack of beneficiary". It was not lack of bene-
ficiaries that hurt me, but a negligent bank clerk who didn't follow through with proper procedure and who
didn't obey my requests. A recent bank incident identical to the one just described but unrelated, prompted
me to write. Another bank clerk "forgot" to add my P.O.D.'s and mentioned that "it's often done." It's
curious, I wonder if this procedure is common in small or "troubled" banks? Do you think this "directive"
is handed down from higher ups?!!! We depositors have every right to make congress amend the ruling
regarding the higher insurance limit. Can all 10,000 'uninsured" be wrong?
