		<description>I lost $16500 @ IndyMac after  three phone calls to IndyMac Bank during which time they assured me that my CD&#039;s were properly structured with beneficiaries and I had nothing to worry about. Well when the FDIC took over they didn&#039;t see that way, so the 50% loss came to $16550. The increase in insurance to $250K should have been made retro-active.&lt;br&gt; Myron Brudnicki</description>

		<description>Although I myself did not lose any money @ IndyMac, a very close and very elderly lady friend of mine lost over $17,000 which she could ill afford to lose.  She is currently living only on a small social security check.  She was not told how to vest her account to furthur protect her money  and had her daughter listed as a beneficiary rather than a joint account holder.  Had she known the difference her money would have been sheltered.  Shame on IndyMac!</description>
